Rick Michaels began acting/producing while attending the University of Akron. He completed a twenty-year career in public safety as a police officer, firefighter/paramedic, public information officer and emergency/disaster response planner/trainer. Mr. Michaels also worked many years in commercial broadcasting as a voice over talent, on-air personality and news reporter.
Currently he lives in Southwest Florida where he has resumed acting and producing in both large budget films (Any Given Sunday, Out Of Time, The Holy Man, Red Dragon, Bad Boys 2) and lower budget independent feature/short productions, which include Ripper, Wheels, Rules, Regs & Arrears, The Interrogation, The Soldier and the award winning Rope Art**. Besides acting in both film and TV, he has produced three budgeted, SAG sanctioned short subject movies and has a large budget feature length project in development, titled ‘Sunshine’.**
