A native of Belfast, Northern Ireland, brings first hand knowledge of violence, suffering, chemical addiction, and the effects on both the individual and the culture that individual exists in. Rick will create the character of Bobby Hatcher, a returning Iraq war vet with both serious physical and mental conditions. Bobby Hatcher is a dificult and complex character, and moves into the previously dramatically seldom explored area of the effects on a soldier who is forced to kill against his nature. Bobby Hatcher is clearly the most difficult role ever created for a Straightaway production. Hence it was necessary to secure a professional actor of Rick’s talent and background.
